Why is our e-commerce website slighty slow when uploading?
Our website is slightly slow when navigating from page to page. We just moved it to a private server but its still slightly slow. The page pops up not as a whole but layer by layer. The first 1/3 page would pop up then other products. The company that built our website is telling us its slow b/c we have alot of products? Is there a way to make the entire page pop up together more faster. The website is designed in php.

Look into Ajax web technologies. It is a good method to speed up websites that are data driven.

Also it sounds like you may have a slow database. You mention a lot of products, I assume that these are stored in a database, and the PHP retrieves the products from the database. Have you looked at the database servers performance?
Also take a look at some of the PHP profiling tools out there, you may find that a single script or function is slowing down the entire site. One tool is:
